So, I’ve written a review for the collar also, which I bought to go with this lead. The lead is, as expected, and equally good quality and finish. The brown leather unusual in colour and smells just divine. I love the weight of the chain, heavy enough I can feel it’s there and not anxious about using it or it breaking! It’s longer than I expected, which is a bonus as it has added play options (use your imagination!). Unfortunately, I think I now want everything matching and have my eye on the matching blindfold, just need to convince my partner!

A beautiful product presented in a linen drawstring bag. This is a lead only and attaches to any clip collar. It's made with quality and durability in mind with a sturdy chain that sends shivers down your spine when it's coldness touches your skin. The brown leather loop handle can be wiped clean and the chain easily cleaned. It would be exquisite attached to the matching collar, as the leather is top quality with that leather scent, however, as a tester it was used with a different collar. The matching collar is now on my wishlist. This lead is a firm favourite and will be used on many occasions. It is well presented and would make any sub smile if they were to receive this as a gift.

Bought this, after watching the review video on LH, to go with the matching Coco de Mer collar. When it comes to leads, there are leads and there are leads... some are lightweight and/or poorly finished others, like this, are not. The Coco de Mer lead is (as with all their leather products) beautifully finished and clearly made to a standard rather than to a price: for example, double thickness leather (so the inside is properly finished) and a swivel clip to stop the chain tangling. The most surprising thing about this product was the weight of the chain. Due to its weight and length (almost 1.3m) it's got a very nice heft to it, which meant that V could feel it was there once it was clipped on to her collar, which added a bit to the sense of anticipation. In terms of functionality, it does exactly what you'd expect. Would I have bought it without wanting to co-ordinate with other items from the Coco de Mer? Given the price, probably not. But owning other items from the range, I think it's made a good add-on to the toybox.
