The business

Having purchased the small flogger and having had a great experience, we upgraded to this 'full size' model. As you would expect for an item that has a premium price, you get what you pay for. Everything screams quality about this flogger, as will you play mate! The flogger is a good weight and comes in its own cotton storage bag. We have absolutely no complaints with this and would wholeheartedly recommend this for anybody who wants to try out using a flogger. Well worth every penny!

Expensive but beautifully crafted

I had been eyeing off purchasing some Coco de Mer products when a 50% offer from Lovehoney came up and I decided that I needed to add this to my collection. It is a beautifully balanced flogger and very well made using top quality leather. The leather falls of this flogger are quite thin and therefore this flogger does deliver quite a sting. If you are looking for a flogger that will give your bottom a thuddy feeling, this is not it. It comes with its own canvas bag to store it in, which is a welcome addition given the actual cost of this item. As this is my first Coco de Mer product, I would like to add the wrist and ankle cuffs to my bondage toy/equipment collection. This is very well made and doesn't feel cheap and nasty - far from it actually.

So beautiful, just not sold on the price tag

I was very generously sent this gorgeous flogger for my review. Thank you so much, Lovehoney! The Coco de Mer Brown Leather Flogger arrives in a branded hessian-style storage bag, which is appreciated as most bondage toys lack nice packaging and storage solutions. I quite like the rustic simplicity of the bag whereas my partner said it looks and feels like a potato sack! Each to their own, and all that! The flogger itself is really breathtaking quality. I don't usually go for brown leather bondage equipment but the deep chocolate brown looks so classy. The über long suede tails are so soft and lovely to stroke - they're suedey on "both sides" instead of smooth leather on one side as is the case with my other leather flogger. The handle feels solidly constructed and the wrist loop is a welcome presence. One thing I have to stress about this flogger is it is long. Easily the longest and most dramatic in my collection, but this makes it a little awkward to wield if you're an absolute beginner or not used to long floppy impact toys, haha! It can take some time to learn to land each lashing on the intended body part so I suggest starting out by practicing on a willing pillow or cushion before attempting to use it on a partner. My partner is still getting to grips with this toy as he usually prefers crops and paddles over floggers or whips. I love being on the receiving end of this toy - it has 40 very long and deliciously heavy tails that can produce a wide variety of sensations, from playful tickles to some fairly serious pain. I'm quite the pain slut and was delighted to find how thuddy this heavy flogger can be when swung with skill. I always used to find floggers to be quite tame toys but this one can be nasty when you want it to be! Okay, so I love the toy, the only thing that holds me back recommending it is the price. It's steep. While I think this flogger is completely stunning and awesome, I honestly don't know if I'd pay £120 for it myself. However, it is a luxury purchase and the quality is reflected in that price tag. It would make an amazing treat for kinky lovers who crave the finest materials. Spoil yourselves!
