I am a size 12 and went with the size Medium, which is a good fit. Nice to see the black and gold colour combo - I also now have my eye on the Fifty Shades faux leather black and gold bondage accessories to match!

Utterly captivated

This is a stunning lingerie set. What really impressed me was the fit. All those straps aren’t just aesthetically pleasing. Between the sliders and the stretch, they offer so much room for adjustment that I was able to get both the bra and the thong perfectly sized for my body. I’m a UK size 10 on the top, 12 on the bottom, with a 32D bra size and often find only one part of a set will fit me properly. Very glad not to have this issue with this set. I am confident this would fit and flatter a good variety of sizes and body shapes within the size guide. I love the gold detailing. I thought it was a little bright and clashy at first, but then I slipped into the set in a room lit only by candle light and wow... It’s stunning. The gold catches the light in such a beautiful way. I immediately understood why they chose to name this range 'captivate'. The thong is a bit daunting when you take it out of the pack and it took me a few minutes to orientate myself, but once you find the waistband and figure out where your legs go the rest of the straps somewhat fall into place. Don’t give up! It’s worth it! Let the gold details guide you. Hands down my favourite thing about this set is the fact that I can wear such a gorgeously minimal thong without highlighting my muffin top. My hips are very soft, but I let the straps out a bit and so they don’t draw attention to this at all. I do love a good smooth silhouette! My second favourite was that having all that lovely bum on show along with the FSOG branding inspired my partner to rediscover our range of Red Room implements. Fantastic as I also love a good spanking! If you’re the kind who likes to leave their lingerie on throughout the event you’re in luck, the gusset is narrow enough that it can comfortably be slipped to one side to allow your partner access to your sweet spots. This set does wonders for my confidence and 90% of that is down to the fit. You can see how beautiful it is from the product images, but I didn’t expect to feel so beautiful in it. If you’re a fan of the FSOG franchise, then great, if not cut the little disks off and forget it. Bottom line, I feel this is a set everyone needs in their life.

So when I saw the new Pleasure collection I immediately thought about how well it tied in with the idea of the books. I don't have many bra sets for wear in the bedroom, I tend to like basques and chemises but the Captivate bra set in gold and black really caught my eye because it's that little bit more intriguing and different (but a good different). Starting with the bra itself, this set is real luxury. Made from black satin with an ever so slight padding, it is also underwired. The bra is embroidered with beautiful gold floral stitching and to the centre is a detachable neck collar which is made from lace-like fabric in the same gold patterning. There's a little gold hook to put the collar on and also the option to remove the collar entirely. So a little bit different to your normal suspender belt, but a suspender knicker. Made from the same silky soft satin and gold thread to match beautifully with the bra. I absolutely love it, the thick straps are just so aesthetically pleasing to me and the added bonus of suspender straps. The crotch area is sadly not crotchless but there is an area to the rear of the knicker that would provide ample butt access. I went for a size medium as I am a 10/12 and a size 34DD/E so the fit was perfect for me. I really appreciate the underwiring of the bra as I have bigger boobs and I felt super comfortable, sexy and confident wearing this set together. Summary This is such a luxury set to add to your collection, I was genuinely surprised by how beautifully made it was and the quality of the set, it truly is stunning. If you're feeling a little shy in the bedroom this is the perfect bra set to start with, the suspender knickers are made to tease any admirer but ultimately are so comfortable to wear and flatter any figure. This Lovehoney Fifty Shades of Grey Captivate Black & Gold Bra Set is really quite special. It’s so sexy to wear and elegant too with shades of bondage and temptation about it. The bra itself is moulded and gives great support, I’m 5’3” a 32F and a size 10-12 and the medium set fits me really well. The shoulder straps are a lovely black satin and very comfortable, perfect if you want to wear this for an evening out perhaps. The back of the bra adjusts by a slider, so plenty of scope to fit different sizes. The briefs are very sexy too, they’re quite high waisted and brilliant for hiding a multitude of sins, and I have to say how fabulous the strapping on the briefs is, it’s made of adjustable soft stretchy elastic, the best thing is that it gives you no bulges anywhere due to the lovely soft elastic material, each strap is connected to the front of the briefs by a little gold ring, which looks simply stunning. The back of the briefs is a thong and beautifully trimmed with gold lace which sits just above the cheeks of my bottom. The suspender straps are nice and strong and don’t slip, plus a great bonus they’re not too long, just perfect. I simply adore this set as it’s not only made to perfection but it feels and looks so sexy when I wear it, it really makes me feel quite special and I love it.

Though I must say from my experience with other products in the Fifty Shades collab with Lovehoney, I've never been disappointed. LH really took what was a meagre series of misinformed books, and created a range of products that are high quality, fabulous to perceive and even more exciting to use. This Captivate lingerie range is no exception. I was immediately drawn to the architecture of the piece when I first saw it. The gorgeous combination of black and gold, the intricate straps and the fine rose embroidery all screamed to my love of 20s art deco. The addition of the built-in collar is really lovely too and just adds that little something *extra* that you don't usually get with your standard set. What you also don't always get is a gorgeous looking back view - though I will admit it's mostly down to the underwear. The straps continue back across your hips, to a final large backpiece that harks back to the black and gold roses from the front of the piece. Which is lovely, since so often your behind is forgotten and the patterns stop and it feels unfinished. I'm a size 14 and have 34DD cup size and wore the Large, and it fits comfortably. I did have an issue with the padded bra as I would be smaller on one side of my chest so I found there was a little gap in the cup - but I prefer this than one looking like it's going to pop out haha .ike a muffin top, but it's your chest. (A cupcake?) I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't get unattractive bumps with all the strapping. I worry a lot about that, but I love the aesthetic of many straps, so it's always pleasant when the risk pays off and I can just look cute. My main issue with this set: getting it on. Once you navigate the many straps and manage to get that underwear on and adjusted, you must wrestle with the hook-free bra. Or to be more precise, several G-hook clasps. I very much struggled to attach the bra and the choker once I had them on because of these claps. I'm sure people with a helping hand or more experience wouldn't have an issue but for me personally, it was a bit of a struggle. I also found the collar a little difficult to adjust and found that it was still a little loose around my neck, but not in any noticeable way - I wonder if excessive pulling or dragging would stretch that material, but it hasn't happened yet!

It’s so sexy to wear and elegant too with shades of bondage and temptation about it.The bra and briefs are sexy shiny black satin, adorned with the most beautiful and intricate gold lace, a stunning and elegant trim.The whole outfit oozes sex appeal and every little detail is perfect.The bra is made to fit perfectly, no struggling to put it on as there’s a little clasp at the back, the lace collar is detachable too, but I love how sexy it makes me feel when wearing the bra with the collar attached. The bra itself is moulded and gives great support, I’m 5’3” a 32F and a size 10-12 and the medium set fits me really well. The shoulder straps are a lovely black satin and very comfortable, perfect if you want to wear this for an evening out perhaps.The back of the bra adjusts by a slider, so plenty of scope to fit different sizes.The briefs are very sexy too, they’re quite high waisted and brilliant for hiding a multitude of sins, and I have to say how fabulous the strapping on the briefs is, it’s made of adjustable soft stretchy elastic, the best thing is that it gives you no bulges anywhere due to the lovely soft elastic material, each strap is connected to the front of the briefs by a little gold ring, which looks simply stunning.The back of the briefs is a thong and beautifully trimmed with gold lace which sits just above the cheeks of my bottom.The suspender straps are nice and strong and don’t slip, plus a great bonus they’re not too long, just perfect.I simply adore this set as it’s not only made to perfection but it feels and looks so sexy when I wear it, it really makes me feel quite special and I love it.

Fifty Shades of Fancy

I was extremely excited to get my hands on this set, and completely surprised that it was Fifty Shades. Though I must say from my experience with other products in the fifty shades collab with Lovehoney, I've never been disappointed. LH really took what was a meagre series of mis-informed books, and created a range of products that are high quality, fabulous to perceive and even more exciting to use. This Captivate lingerie range is no exception. I was immediately drawn to the architecture of the piece when I first saw it. The gorgeous combination of black and gold, the intricate straps and the fine rose embroidery all screamed to my love of 20s art deco. The addition of the built in collar is really lovely too, and just adds that little something *extra* that you don't usually get with your standard set.What you also don't always get is a gorgeous looking back view - though I will admit it's mostly down to the underwear. The straps continue back across your hips, to a final large backpiece that harks back to the black and gold roses from the front of the piece. Which is lovely, since so often your behind is forgotten and the patterns stop and it feels unfinished.I'm a size 14 and have 34DD cup size and wore the Large, and it fit comfortably. I did have an issue with the padded bra as I would be smaller on one side of my chest so I found there was a little gap in the cup - but I prefer this than one looking like it's going to pop out haha Like a muffin top, but it's your chest. (A cupcake?)I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't get unattractive bumps with all the strapping. I worry a lot about that, but I love the aesthetic of many straps, so it's always pleasant when the risk pays off and I can just look cute. My main issue with this set: getting it on. Once you navigate the many straps and manage to get that underwear on and adjusted, you must wrestle with the hook-free bra. Or to be more precise, several G-Hook clasps. I very much struggled to attach the bra and the choker once I had them on because of these claps. I'm sure people with a helping hand or more experience wouldn't have an issue but for me personally, it was a bit of a struggle. I also found the collar a little difficult to adjust and found that it was still a little loose around my neck, but not in any noticeable way - I wonder if excessive pulling or dragging would stretch that material, but it hasn't happened yet!
