We wanted to try out a spreader bar for a while and decided to go for the more expensive option. Mainly for the padded cuffs and the bar connecting right up to the cuffs rather than changing to a chain, this looked like it made it more restrictive than other options. It works great. The pads are very comfortable and easy to adjust. I can wear it for an extended period of time, no problem. It allows a little movement of the ankles, so you can still move around and change position and possibly walk (with some difficulty). The bar is very strong and sturdy, and it has 3 settings which are relatively easy to switch between, but it can sometimes take a while, although we normally choose a setting and stick with it for the evening. Don’t expect to buy a spreader bar and it to completely spread you, it only goes so far and your knees are still able to cave in. But overall this product is great and I cannot fault it! DOMINIX products are always pretty good - one of my favourite lines.

The adjustable bar has 3 different lengths and is easy to readjust. Folds down enough that it is easy to store. Was discreetly packaged and delivered in no time. Completely worth every penny! If you want to buy a spreader bar this is the one to get! You won't regret it.

This Is It

This spreader bar is exactly what we were looking for. Thanks, LH for rapid and discreet delivery, as for Dominix, the packaging is simple and secure, and the product quality is outstanding. Very comfortable cuffs can be used for longer periods of time no problem. Stiff bar and structure, but enough play in the ankles/wrists for comfortable repositioning. Cuffs are connected throughout the bar meaning you can twist the cuffs slightly while wearing them. Super comfortable bar. Great leather material, you can feel and smell the quality and you appreciate every second looking at it and wearing it. I made small lines on the bar with a marker pen indicating where the holes are for the pin, making it a lot easier for changing the width without taking too long during play. If you are looking for a bar, this is the one to get. I thought it was a bit pricey, but for what you get I think it’s a steal anyway.

Sturdy restraints but with super soft cuffs!

I bought this product as my OH had been desperate to try out a spreader bar. After much deliberation over price vs. quality, we decided to give this one a go as it looked very sturdy and restricting, but had the benefit of padded cuffs. It did not disappoint! When on, the cuffs are super soft but tight against your skin. The bar is strong and restrictive, but as the cuffs are hinged it allows you to move into different positions easily. We used the bar whilst it was fully spread out and it was comfortable to wear for a decent amount of time (c. 40 minutes). I think it was worth the money purely for the comfort factor. It allowed me to get the thrill of being restricted, but without leaving any red marks behind. I look forward to seeing what else we can do with it!

Kinky and Sturdy

My girlfriend purchased this speaker bar a short while ago as she knows how much I love them, and this one trumps the lot. I knew that this was my dream spreader bar as soon as we excitedly opened the packaging, and I would not hesitate to recommend this bondage essential to anyone who likes to be strictly restrained. This is what I've always imagined a spreader bar to be like. Strong enough to hold someone in place, attractive enough to not be intimidating, long enough to leave a partner feeling powerless. As is always the case with Lovehoney, the product arrived unbelievably quickly in super discreet packaging so that nobody would have any idea what was inside; which is great news as my neighbours received it for me as I was not home. The spreader bar was disappointingly presented, contained in a clear plastic bag. Though there was nothing tacky or classless about it, it as incredibly underwhelming for such an expensive product, and it went straight into the bin. However, most of the sex toy packaging that we get gets similarly discarded, and this spreader bar is so exceptional I will not let the packaging affect my review Aesthetically, the bar is attractive. It is silver metal and black leather, and is telescopic, with several holes to adjust its length (even the smallest gives a substantial 'stretch') which are controlled by 2 removable silver pins. Even just looking at it I got aroused; it screams 'kinky'. Though it is certainly well made. The cuffs are attractive silver and black, incredibly comfortable wear, even for long periods of time, with tidy stitching, and are strong enough that they can't be broken free from- even with lots of struggling. In use, this spreader bar was absolutely incredible. Beyond amazing. What I really wanted was a bar that left the person wearing it completely spread so they were helpless, and this bar certainly delivered. Closing your knees is impossible, even if you have very long legs so the wearer is truly at your mercy; exactly what you want from a bondage product. The pins used to adjust the length of the bar have a ring to attach more cuffs to, which was a great idea, but as the pins can simply be pulled out to adjust the length of the bar, it means the person bound could easily escape by pulling the pins out if they were attached to them - this is the product's biggest letdown, but with a bit of creativity it is easy to think of other ways to tie up their hands. Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone looking at moving beyond ordinary handcuffs or Velcro restraints: you will not be disappointed!

we have been looking for a spreader bar for some time but found either the bar seemed to complex / flimsy or the cuffs look to cheap or naff this bar bucked the trend by being not only very functional but with very sleek and stylish leather cuffs. its easy to use and very very good at doing exactly what you would want it to do. if you are looking for a bit of 50 shades fun we can highly recommend,

As is standard with Dominix the spreader bar arrived packaged in a plain clear plastic bag. For something of this price this could be a little disappointing to some, but as I have other Dominix items I knew what to expect. The cuffs are beautifully soft, real leather, with padding on the inside. They look so luxurious and such good quality. They are adjustable enough to be used on both small and larger wrists or ankles, and the padding ensures that you aren't left sore or with red marks. The bar is easy to adjust and feels solid and sturdy enough to withstand any amount of struggling. Even on the smallest setting you are unable to close your knees, so on the widest setting is is fantastically restrictive. We have had such fun with these and it's provided a new exciting element to being restrained. If you are looking for a good quality spreader bar that will last, then I can't recommend this enough.

The cuffs are attached with solid metal rather than chains, so there is more rigidity and you are held in place effectively. The metal on metal does cause a lot of clinking - this isn't a very quiet option.
