Worth every penny

The 50 shades keep Still restraint is good quality.I couldn’t wait to share this with my boyfriend. We've been looking for something like this for a long time. When I saw this set, I believe this is the best gift for his birthday.

Good price, feels good

It works great. The keep still was reasonably priced. I pretty much bought this for my long distance boyfriend, so I haven't put it through any day to day use. it looks good and feels good though. I like how you can use it with both your wrists and ankles.

I like it

I like the style of this product. I also love that it holds you in spread eagle position. I did not like that its not elastic. If it had elastic it would offer some mobility.

Elegance

We were excited to be chosen to road test this item. We didn't have any clue what we're we're going to receive, so when this came in the post we were so pleased! The first thing my OH said was "This is something I would have bought". When it comes to our toys, we don't like tacky or cheap and these restraints scream elegance! The packaging it comes in is the typical Fifty Shades style. It's discreet, yet it has a few hints of sexy. We couldn't wait to open it, so we took it out straight away. The material of the handcuffs is brilliant. The insides are so soft, you won't have to worry about marks on your wrists and comfort while playing. Also, the eye mask it comes with is much higher quality than most, so much so, that my OH uses it most days for just sleeping. The restraints were a bit of a faff at first trying to figure out how they are meant to fit. However, once we had done it once, it is pretty simple the next time. Once the restraints were set up, it was extremely easy to use. The cuffs can be quickly clipped on and off for you to change your partner's position with ease. The material that made the cross, which lay on the bed, would have ideally been adjustable as it was a little loose and got in the way. The product would suit anyone - new or a seasoned pro to bondage - as it's so simple, yet it's such high quality. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone interested in restraints.

So my partner bought this wanting to try something new. A part of me looked forward to it, a part of me was sceptical. It was packaged well in a nice little box. I was missing the eye mask but got the Fifty Shades-themed door sign, which we personally won’t use. You really have to attach the item to your bed well before any action as it takes a little awkward manoeuvring to get it right. Don’t want to ruin the moment trying to get it in place. I am pleased with the quality and ease of the product but let down by the fact the item must be for a queen size bed. I own a standard double and it is way too big. On the other hand we simply stitched it to fit well and it worked a treat. I really enjoyed this product and pleased with the comfort of it; the cuffs are not scratchy and leave no marks behind, even though we had them pretty tight! Overall it’s not a bad product if you can get over the fact it’s not adjustable.

Wasn't a right fit for our bed

After our recent and first experience with bed restraints, we were both more than excited to own this FSOG set. Just as every other product from the line, the box is a pleasure to the eye, sleek, black and discreet. And in it we have another black box, which contains the set. It gives the same luxurious feeling you get from the high-end Lelo packaging. What's in the box is a leaflet with a brief guidance on how to put it on the bed and a little bit of advice on bondage play. Great for beginners! You also get a hanging door sign, with "Grey at play" and "Mr. Grey will see you now" on the sides respectively. It's a little bit too much with the FSOG branding for me, but I can imagine fans of the book would find it much more fun during playtime. Since we were expecting only a restraint system, it was a nice surprise to find a blindfold included, which actually covers our eyes perfectly. We've had a few blindfolds before and they've always failed, so this one gets used a lot now. We loved the idea of being able to restrain each other's hands and legs, either spread, or up and down. Variety is the key to happiness, right? The way it works is you spread it over the bed (not under). This is important to note as you'd have to take it off and put it back on every time you want to you use it. It's simpler than any other set to set up - you only need to get the grey straps under the top and bottom of the bed, tighten them and ta-da! You're ready to go. Once this was done, we were left a little bit disappointed, as the X (black) straps can't be adjusted (they were left a bit loose), neither can the length of the straps which the D-rings for handcuffs are attached to. This shouldn't be a problem for a bigger bed, but ours isn't one of them (it's about 75'x65'). I'm very short - 5'2 - and the best position to get me actually restrained was hands up and legs spread. I simply had too much room for movement otherwise. With his 6'2", nothing really works too well. We had some better success with just the handcuffs, though. They are soft inside, maybe a tiny bit too hard, and a tiny bit too big, for my tiny wrists, but very good anyway. It's easy to use them for a hog-tie or to attach them to something else. This part of the set was what got him most excited. :D The material used is thick and strong, and will last years and years. It's also very simple to wash. I'm really sad to say this set didn't work well for us due to not being adjustable enough. However, this doesn't mean it won't for someone else. I think a bigger bed would definitely suffice to make it what it should be. For the rest of us, I can whole heartedly suggest the "Lovehoney BASICS Bondage Bed Restraint", it's fully adjustable and works a treat!

Exciting confusion

I received the Fifty Shades of Grey Over the Bed Cross Set from the wonderful people at Lovehoney to try and test out. For all the positives, I came out from testing with, unfortunately, completely mixed views. I haven’t really much come across the Fifty Shades franchise, but I love the toys and equipment that has come out of it! The cross set came boxed in a medium-sized box and turned out to be heavier than I had imagined. The theme of the colours seemed to be black and silver with slight hints of red; rather luxurious looking. The box had a picture of the restraints and on the side, a 1-line quote from the book and an image-based instruction of how the restraints work. Inside the box you’ll find the restraints, along with an instruction booklet with instructions in English, French, German and Spanish, a blindfold and a ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign. The blindfold is a rather basic polyester one with a silky feeling inner side and a softer outside with a ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ tag and elastic head band. The ‘Do Not Disturb Sign’ is a card affair with ‘Grey at Play - Do Not Disturb’ on one side and ‘Mr Grey Will See You Now - Please Enter’ on the other; both with ‘The Official Pleasure Collection - Approved by E L James’ notes on both sides. Personally, I will never use the sign, but I will definitely use the blindfold. I can imagine that in a time of roleplaying, a couple would love using both of these items. Moving on to the restraints... The restraints are made of a black webbing cross, which fits across the top of the mattress and is fixed around the head and foot of the mattress by a grey webbing strap at each end. It's really a very handy way to easily fix restraints in place in a non-permanent and 'easily removed and hidden' way. Attached to the black cross webbing were a range of D-links (with even one on the grey webbing straps) and four cuffs, all fully adjustable and gloriously lined on the inside with a soft furry fabric, which contrasted well with the slight roughness around the edge of the cuff. You can move the cuffs around to suit your needs/wants and take them away and use other items if you wish. Putting the restraints in place, the instructions (included in the box) say only that the restraints cannot be used on a single bed. My double bed was ready and waiting! My one-woman crew started to eagerly strip the bed of all paraphernalia; pillows and duvet. Finally, it was on to trying to unravel and properly place the straps ready to fix in place. I found that setting it out ready was a good way to do it rather than fixing it in one clump and hoping for the best. The grey straps, which go around the top and bottom of the mattress, are lovely and long and will fit the vast majority of beds as they are fully adjustable. The only downside with the grey straps was getting them in place through lifting the mattress with one hand and sliding it under with the other on both sides and then getting on hands and knees to see and reach under the bed to properly adjust the strap to a good tautness. A bit of a pain for one - fortunately strong - person, but I ended up far too exhausted after wrangling the straps and mattress to even consider play. Really, it's a job for a couple to do together. Sexy, eh? One thing I did find was that you really need full access to the bed to put these restraints in place. Move aside any bedside tables or other bits and pieces. I wish I had before starting - ouch! Moving up to the head of the bed, I finally noticed a slight problem with the restraints. My bed, an average double, was far too short to bring the central crossed black webbing to a taut point and ended up with masses of length left over. This made movement far too easy and in fact rather uncomfortable with the cuffs in entirely the wrong places. On another bed with perhaps a few extra feet in length, it would have been a perfect set-up. This, unfortunately, wasn’t specified in the instructions. The black cross straps don’t appear to be adjustable, so would have to be stitched to take off some of the excess; not what I personally want to be doing and, given the material, very hard on any needle being the stitching by hand or machine. Overall, I’m very impressed with the product. A lot of thought has gone into the design, packaging and the whole thing is very well made. However, I’m disappointed in the sizing issues of the main crossed central webbing, which is integral to the use of the restraint. I had very much looked forward to using this item, but I will have to think hard about how I can really make this work for me. I will definitely still use the blindfold and cuffs separately as they can be used with many of the toys I already have. My final note really is about the tidying away of this toy. It's bloody difficult. With all the straps and cuffs getting in the way it can be near impossible to put back into the box in under 30 minutes and without a full pack of elastic bands (or in my case, hair ties). I'm still trying to find a solution between it all coming out in one giant knot or taking ages to neatly pack it away.

Indecipherable Instructions

The FSoG Overbed Restraint system is, I think, a genius idea presented very badly. Either that or I am not understanding this restraint set. The set comprises a number of lengths of nylon which are stitched together to form an X with parallel horizontal straps for any number of spreadeagled positions. The nylon is pretty soft and supple, and we did not find it all scratchy. As far as I can tell, the restraining straps are black, and the securing to the bed straps are grey. The set comes nicely packaged in a magic box - it's one of the boxes that it will never ever go back go into, no matter how hard you try. The instructions are a tiny piece of thin card folded into four concertina-style. There are brief instructions in several languages on one side, and some pictures and a more detailed instruction on the other. This is where I have massive problem with this product. The brief instructions aren't enough to be able to fit the set first time round, and the detailed instructions keep referring to D-rings, but there are so many D-rings on this set that it's pretty confusing as to what D-ring I have to do what. The instructions also refer to a "slider". Now either my set is missing that, or well, there isn't a slider. So, after 30-40 minutes reading the instructions and looking at the lengths of nylon, and the diagrams, we though sod it, let's just see if we can get it on the bed. We managed to, by one of us lifting up the mattress, and the other running the grey nylon under the bed, and fastening the D-rings, no not those D-rings, nor those ones, nope not them ones... Yes! those ones. We did this at both the foot-end, and the head-end of the bed, so we had the grey straps running under the mattress, and the black ones forming a boxed X on top of the mattress. I'm not sure if this is quite how it works, it's hardly over bed, but maybe by over-bed what they really mean is under-and over! I'm not sure how a solely over-bed system would work. The instructions say it won't work on a single bed, and to be honest, on our standard double, they were very loose, so if how we fitted it was correct, then I would say a king or super-king would be more suited. So, the instructions are very very poor, but leave those aside and just get it on the bed, what are you left with? Well, a set of restraints which don't afford an awful lot of movement in the legs, but do in the arms, if you go for the fully spread-eagled option. This set also allows for arms and/or legs restrained together; so it's pretty versatile. The cuffs, however, are genuine genius. They are super soft, and fasten with Velcro, and well, they will fit super-thin and super-chunky wrists and ankles alike. The Velcro runs all round the cuffs, meaning they fasten loose or tight, and very versatile. Despite much struggling, we were unable to get out of them. They are full detachable from the set, and can be used on their own too. Big thumbs up here.

Nice product however unless you've got a king size bed it's not for you item can only for a king size bed regardless of how it advertised, I would say however it brilliant for a bit if fun but could have done with buckles instead of Velcro restraints instead would have made it more interesting

For starters you have to put it on and off the bed each time you use it, no spontaneity in that right..... Secondly when we brought this we had a standard double bed. It was miles too big! So we put it away as we knew we wanted a bigger bed any way. Well guess what...it’s a few months down the line and we have a KINGSIZE bed.....fucking still to big. The black cross strap doesn’t adjust at all. So you left with loads of slack and it not really restraining me in the slightest. The arm and ankle straps are rubbish. No padding and the clips would break easily if it actually restrained me enough to put any pressure on them.

Good idea, bad execution, designed for giants

Ask yourself this: If you were designing a bed restraint system, what would be one of the most important details to get right? Probably the average size of a bed, right? Well, unfortunately the designers of this product were too focused on the 50 Shades licensing instead of the practical application of the product. Lets start with the good: The straps themselves feel sturdy enough and the D clips don't feel like they'll come off easily. D Clips also allow you to use other accessories you may have, such as your own cuffs - I'll get to this later. Setting up the restraints is simple, just lay it across the bed and then slip the grey straps under the top and bottom of the mattress and tighten. Some people said they had difficulty, but I'm not sure how, it's very simple and can be done fairly quickly. Obviously it's better if you set this up before clothes have been thrown around the room. If you've got a box spring mattress you may even find it easier to slip the grey straps under the box spring mattress. This worked for me and provides the added supports of the box spring legs so the grey straps can't slide down the bed. Tightening the straps can be done easily and don't come loose easily. Now for the major flaw... The black straps that go across the bed are FAR too long. I tried it out on our Queen size bed (That's 203cm long) and the black straps weren't tight at all. You're left with a big mess of straps all over the bed that will shift around, get caught on things and get in the way during the heat of the moment... A bit of a mood killer. What's more, not even a king size bed could fix this flaw, as a king size bed is the same length as a queen size bed in most countries! The width isn't the problem, it's the length. Unless you have an exceptionally large bed that isn't a standard length you're gonna be left with lots of extra straps across the bed. How on earth this was missed during product design has me speechless. The cuffs feel very cheap but that's expected in a kit this price. I'd recommend buying a nice pair of leather cuffs which will easily attach to the D Rings - This is one reason I chose this set over others because you can use your own cuffs. The cuff clips also feel very flimsy, again, buy a good clip to go with your cuffs and you can easily upgrade this. A 50 Shades themed "do not disturb" sign is included in the box. If you're really into your 50 Shades of Gray fantasy perhaps you'll find a use for it. A blindfold is also included. It's your typical bondage blindfold freebie so it's not the most amazing quality in the world, but hey, it's there if you'd like to use it. With all that said and done - Would I recommend this? Yes* - Provided you have a sewing machine. If you're willing to shorten the length of the black straps yourself the product will work well. If you're expecting the product to just work out of the box, you may be disappointed. Most bed restraint kits have their shortfalls unfortunately, however at least the shortfalls of this kit can be easily corrected with 5 mins of sewing.

Buy far the best restraint for a bed. This product was extremely easy to assemble. It has a nice texture to it. The wrist and ankle straps have a lovely feel to them. There are a number of different hops to attach to. It's great for doggy and teasing with other toys such as our Lovehoney wand. The entire product is brilliant for light bdsm. Cheap price. Good quality product. 100% worth the buy.

Me and my partner wanted to spice up our sex life so we ordered this item and were get excited! But.. When it got here we found out it’s a royal pain in the arse! For starters you have to put it on and off the bed each time you use it, no spontaneity in that right..... Secondly when we brought this we had a standard double bed. It was miles too big! So we put it away as we knew we wanted a bigger bed any way. Well guess what...it’s a few months down the line and we have a KINGSIZE bed.....fucking still to big. The black cross strap doesn’t adjust at all. So you left with loads of slack and it not really restraining me in the slightest. The arm and ankle straps are rubbish. No padding and the clips would break easily if it actually restrained me enough to put any pressure on them.

Buy far the best restraint for a bed this product was extremely easy to assemble has a nice texture to it , the wrist and ankle straps have a lovely feel to them there are a number of different hops to attach to it’s grate for doggy and teasing with other toys such as Lovehoney wand the entire product is brilliant for light BDSM cheap price good quality product 100 % worth the buy and I spend 100s at Lovehoney

It was packaged well in a nice little box, I was missing the eye mask but got the fifty shades themed door sign which we personally won’t use.You really have to attach the item to your bed well before any action as it takes a little awkward manoeuvring to get it right, don’t want to ruin the moment trying to get it in place. I am pleased with the quality and ease of the product but let down by the fact the item must be for a queen size bed, I own a standard double and it is way too big. On the other hand We simply stitched it to fit well and it worked a treat. I really enjoyed this product and pleased with the comfort of it; the cuffs are not scratchy and leave no marks behind even though we had them pretty tight!Over all it’s not a bad product if you can get over the fact it’s not adjustable.

Nice product however unless you've got a king size bed it's not for you item can only for a king size bed regardless of how it advertised, I would say however it brilliant for a bit if fun but could have done with buckles instead of Velcro restraints instead would have made it more interesting

Overall this product was great. Easy to use and setup was super easy. Would recommend that you buy a small bag for storage or travel.
