Sensory overload

My husband brought this for my birthday to try out. It's our first of this type of toy and it blew my mind. That odd mixture of pleasure and pain everywhere it touches is just insane. With the 5 wheels, it isn't too much pressure on any one point and travels nicely everywhere. Definitely going to be a must-have in my kit.

A constant companion

I am a sensualist (I love overwhelming my partner with sensation and pleasure) and this pinwheel is perfect for that! It feels so intense even on myself and I don't consider myself a particularly sensitive person. It drives my girlfriend crazy in the best possible way. So many possibilities with pressure, speed and location. And surprisingly, airport security didn't take it away from my hand luggage. That's how much I love it that I wouldn't go for a vacation without it. If they had taken it away I would have immediately bought a new one.

Great addition

I have had a single Wartenberg wheel for a while and a new partner really loved the sensation. I bought this one as a surprise addition and it went down very well. The packaging is plain white cardboard with a sticker, with the wheel itself then wrapped in thin paper to protect it - perfect for disposal without embarrassing looks! The handle of the wheel is metal, sturdy and it has some weight behind it, the ridges make it easy to hold even when slippy. The 5 wheels are made of silver plastic (I think) and can all rotate independently of one another. I also found the wheels were spikier than the single wheel I have. Because of the multiple wheels if lost on the bed it will end up spikes upward - having knelt on it more than once, I am now more careful where I leave it! It feels very similar to a single wheel, but just a little more. I was worried the multiple wheels would detract from the isolation of the feeling of a single wheel, but it's not the case. The multiple wheels provide more sensation without detracting any qualities. As with any wheel, the pressure can be changed for different sensations. This was greatly enjoyed by us both and will be a firm favourite in the toybox.

I've seen these pinwheels on Lovehoney several times, gazing over them, reading about them and then just clicking onto something else. I had never spoken about it with my partner but had a general interest in what kind of sensation these could give and what they would bring to an intimate session. Nevertheless I popped one in my basket seeing they were on offer and to get to the minimum spend I needed for free delivery and paid. It arrived (in a discreet box as always from LH) along with the rest of my contents, but this was what I was most curious about. I took it out of the packaging and investigated more. I felt it across my body, less force, more force to see what kind of pain I felt but realised it would be completely different with someone else doing it to me, not knowing where it's going to land. So that's what we did. While my partner had me handcuffed to the bed, he went through what we call the goody drawer and came upon the pinwheel. I can't even begin to explain the feeling I felt when I had it rolling over my body. A mix of pain and pleasure, depending how he was using it, even ticklish when it was too light. But I definitely enjoyed it. My partner also enjoyed me using it on him too. I liked finding out how different areas of the body reacted to it and with what force as well my partner could take. I'd recommend this to anyone looking into sensory play for sure. Even better when blindfolded.

Really good for sensory play, perfect for beginners and use as little or as much pressure as required! Well made and not as intimidating as it looks, as many other reviewers have mentioned. My current partner has never experimented much with toys and was intrigued by this and found it enjoyable.

Its bark is worse than its bite

This pinwheel can look very scary and intimidating to those who have never used one before, however it can produce some lovely gentle sensations. I love that when people first see the rows and rows of spines that they assume it will be painful and then the look of surprise when they feel it for the first time. It can be used to produce a range of sensations by adjusting pressure and speed, you really have to press hard to create pain. It can be fun to use all over the body, I particularly like to use on the bottom of the feet and the back of the legs. For those that enjoy a scratching sensation try rotating the head 90 degrees and drag across the skin instead of rolling. The material itself is lovely and smooth with a nice weighty feeling in the hand. My only criticism is that sometime the wheels will stick a bit interrupting smooth use. This is a fantastic beginner pinwheel as the larger surface area spreads out the force resulting in less intense sensation.
