Lovehoney Plus Size Fierce Serpentine Snakeskin Lace Bra Set

Sexy yet sporty

This is my favourite lingerie set so far so thank you, Lovehoney, for sending it to me to test and review. It arrived in the usual (easily recyclable) plain box with the set inside a clear polythene bag. I pulled it out and was wowed by it - a black snakeskin mesh and wet look material in a very powerful design. The bra is a pull-on type that has two adjustable slider straps at the back and a crop-top style front. The cups have a soft boned look but aren't actually boned. The shoulder straps are also adjustable. Interestingly, the rear slider straps can be unhooked and crossed over to give the rear a different look. The knickers are high-cut and crotchless (both of which I love) and have a soft boning detail to match the bra. The waistband is the wet look material and is a wide, very flattering band. There's a lower band that echoes the rear bra straps. The adjustable suspender strap (there's only one) is made up of three separate straps joined to the knickers with removable hooks so you can wear the knickers without them. The single strap with the adjustment and clip attached to the ring that pulls the three straps together hangs from it. The rear of the knickers has a keyhole design on the waistband that is fastened with a traditional bra strap type of fastening. The high cut of the knickers is extremely flattering. The whole look of the set is a combination of sexy and sporty. The bra top was a great fit on me - slightly small on the cups (I'm normally a 38DD) which my partner loves as he likes a bit of overspill. The knickers were a great fit for my 18/20 (depending on brand) frame. I'm pretty tall so the adjustable suspender straps fit my long legs well but can be shortened to fit most. I thought the set looked great with stockings but even better without! However, my partner loved the suspender straps and mentioned something about Lara Croft. It always amazes me how my partner can see something completely different to me so, although he works away, I always wait for him to come home before reviewing. I'm particularly glad I did this time though I'm still puzzled by the Lara Croft comment. It would be interesting if other reviewers could help me out. I love how the straps can change the look of this set, though. Do I want to be sporty of sexy? It's great to have the choice but I love the sporty vibe this gives me despite its obviously sexy style. Whichever you prefer you will not go wrong with this set.

Gorgeous bottom half, disappointing top half

I was excited to receive this set. I love the gorgeous effect of the snakeskin lacy style with the wet look fabric around the bands. This set gives a wow factor when you take the fabric into account - its unique and different - certainly fierce! I absolutely love the knickers in this set - they hide the flabby bits and the strappy details around the legs looks amazing. I love the cut-out sections - it adds some real phwoar factor. The high waist is nice and flattering to my curves and I love the soft boning to the material. The suspenders are gorgeous and when you attach to stockings it looks even better. I will definitely be using these with some other sets. I was a bit disappointed with the top half of this set. I just felt like I needed more material around the cups as the wet look band seems to just disappear rather than be accentuated. I was really rooting for the top half of this set as the bottoms are so nice. This is a pull on top so is easy to get on and off. Sadly for me and my size 38C/D ish boobs, this just wasn't that flattering. The straps are adjustable around both the shoulders and the band so the fit can be customised. Overall - absolutely love the bottom half of this set and will definitely be using it. Sadly the top half wasn't for me.

Disappointing fit

So I was super excited to receive this item. It looked stunning in the pictures, and actually something a bit different from your full on leather/Latex look. The black lace made it look somewhat elegant and petite. The knickers were high waisted, which instantly drew my attention as this was something I had been after for a long time. I'm a mum, have the whole mum tum thing, and very self conscious. I'm 5ft 7 and a size 16/18 but always tent to go for the 1xl-2xl due to my 36E cup. I find this size much comfortable to wear as well as supporting my puppies. I like my outfits to be supportive, and easy on the eye, but sadly this bra set didn't do either. Off, the bra looks huge. Lots of lace means lots of room right? Wrong! There was no support at all. My boobs literally sucked in all the lace and suffocated the wet look band around the bottom. It looked like my puppies where now two flat dog ears... There is no other way to put it. I looked and felt like a sack of potatoes to be honest. The knickers, well they are somewhat better than the bra. They did hide my tum, which was a bonus and they was comfortable to wear. Two things I said I wanted. However, they didn't have much purpose. The open crotch was a great idea, but I'm not sure what happened. My clit was covered by the lace and couldn't actually get anywhere close to it because the slit simply wasn't long enough and to far down. I did try and pull them up frontway, but due to the style it was impossible. If you like anal sex alone then these are great. I can't fault them otherwise. The build and quality are top of the range as always. The thought and design that have gone into these are spot on. I love the whole look. But just didn't do me, a plus size women any good. A supported bra and a bigger crotchless slit would have got a 10/10. They was well and my hubby even put them in the tumble dryer for a hour! But they survived just fine.

Sexy set

This addition to the Fierce range combines a snakeskin-style lace with wet-look faux-leather. Both the leather and the lace have a certain amount of stretch which helps it fit well. The bra has a wide leather band at the bottom, which extends round to the back. Rather than a standard bra fixing though, there is a wide gap between the leather sections, joined by two thin, stretchy easily adjustable straps. Those straps are also replicated in the shoulder straps. The panties feature the same wide leather band around the waist, joining at the back with a bra-style fitting which should enable it to fit a good range of sizes. The lace panels at the front and back do not extend all the way round - leaving the sides completely open, bar the straps - which looks stunning. The crotch is stylishly split with a slight crossover at the top front. There are three hanging straps on each side (one from the back, two from the front) which lead to a ring, from which a stocking clip is suspended. It’s a really unusual design which looks extremely effective in use. Fit-wise, we had no complaints, and the pair of us really liked them, both aesthetically and from a sexiness point of view! Recommended.

Sizzling

Lovehoney's Fierce range is the gift that keeps on giving. This gorgeous two-piece from the Fierce range comes under the name 'Serpentine'. I expect this refers to the stunning snakeskin style pattern to the mesh, and it really is a beautiful effect. As always, this item arrived quickly and in plain packaging. As it was a secret tester, we had only seen a single photo of it. It's quite exciting because you don't really know what it's going to look like. We are huge fans of mesh, wet look, PVC and latex, so this range has been an absolute winner for us, and this surprise product did not disappoint. Essentially, it's quite simple, with a bra and high-waisted underwear complete with suspenders. The bra is mainly mesh with some wet look trim, and my OH loved it as much as I did. She said it was comfortable as well as feeling really hot. It has a push-up and push-together effect, and just looks amazing. The high-waisted underwear is crotchless, and that's always a welcome surprise. The part around the waist is like a wet look-style belt, and the rest is mesh with a trim. The really nice touch is the unusual style of the suspenders. They aren't straight - instead, they curve or weave round. It's a really cool effect, and they are reassuringly sturdy. We tried this with a pair of our wet look stockings and it looked phenomenal. Remember that stockings are not part of the product, so get some! You could also just remove the suspenders, but they are the touch of innovation that really makes this product. The only drawbacks are a little bit of chafing from the crotchless part when I was taking my OH from behind, but it really isn't too bad, and the actual fittings that attach the suspenders to stockings are a little bit fiddly. That aside, we love this product, and actually tried it out in the same evening as another one from this range. It was a very late night. Highly recommended!

Size 8, 5ft for reference. I feel amazing when I wear this. I don't want to take it off, very sexy, comfortable and my boyfriend likes it. It fits me very well in right spots as well. Very happy with this purchase.

Lovely Lacy piece leaving enough for the imagination. Hugs my figure lovely & even does my tiny boobs justice, the hip straps obviously only work with stockings or they look silly but are also removable & look great without. Price a little steep for little material although my partner liked it on he prefers the less “cheap looking”.

I also find that a lot of Lovehoney Lingerie doesn’t work too well for smaller bust sizes but this bra fit perfectly. The high waisted underwear also fit great and were super flattering. Only drawback is that they’re crotchless so you can’t really wear them under outfits. Just need a pair of stockings to go with the set now!

The size M bottoms fit me perfectly and on my petite frame the "crotchless" part of the panties actually stayed closed with the material overlapping its self so I could wasily wear these out comfortably.
