My initially impressions when I opened my plain brown box were very good. "Joy", as my cute little toy is now named, comes in a smart petite box. The design is stylish and sophisticated. The front opens on a magnetic clasp to neatly display your new toy. This would make a nice present. What I do not like however is that to then get into the box you have to break the glued seal which means it can't be neatly secured up again for storage. A little tuck in tab opening to the box would make it absolutely perfect. Inside is your new toy, a USB charging cable and a brief instruction sheet that tells you all the needed information about charging, the speeds and patterns, how to use the travel lock and the basic care instructions. Straight out of the box, Joy is travel locked. Once plugged in, a light flashes merrily away just below the power button until fully charged when the light remains lit. For first plugin this took approximately 15 minutes though I assume this is because Joy came semi charged in case you can't wait to play. The charging port looks very open for a fully waterproof toy but I'm assuming this is because it is made of rustproof metal and charges through this providing a complete boundary to the inner workings. In use in water, she certainly has no issues! In terms of design and make quality the silicone feels beautifully soft, I couldn't stop touching it and rubbing my fingers over it. It also fits so beautifully in my hand, the fin sits perfectly between the knuckles of my first and middle fingers and has a slightly flared top so it's very secure and not going to slip out of your hand in use. The vibrations when I tested them straight from the box seemed a bit on the buzzy side for my personal preference though no more so than any bullet type vibe I've tried. However, turns out in use they do feel more rumbly and somewhat deeper than I was expecting! Not quite perfect for me but there was definitely no going numb and getting irritated as I've found with very buzzy vibrators. This makes handling the toy much easier, though it can be a little small for prolonged gripping or if you have quite large hands/fingers. This bit also seems quite sturdy so will withstand a fair amount of harsh movement before beginning to tear. The lavender colour is different too. I think it's really pretty and looks nice with the metallic charging port (the port is open so I wouldn't recommend submerging this toy). The charging cable also has a distinctive shape, so is easy to tell from your other chargers (useful since I have a fair few now). The toy is easy enough to clean and the silicone is very smooth and seems to have just enough give when pressed onto you. Compared to similar vibes I've tried. This is surprisingly powerful. Definitely beating most of my others. 40 minutes run time may seem a bit short, but I'll take it if that means that level of power. One of the first performance things to mention regarding this clit vibe is that there seem to be two obvious ways of using/handling it, both of which have a few advantages and disadvantages. I found this really difficult to use - it doesn’t grip very well in my hand as I thought it would. The 5 star reviews totally made me buy this but I was very disappointed.

Unusual design with diverse and unexpected results

This was a tester item i recieved in exchange for a review.The overall appearance is very different to anything I've seen before, including a little grip at the bottom. This makes handling the toy much easier though it can be a little small for prolonged gripping or if you have quite large hands/fingers. It could also potentially impact storage a little but it's not that big so issues should be minimal. This bit also seems quite sturdy so will withstand a fair amount of harsh movement before beginning to tear. The lavender colour is different too, i think it's really pretty and looks nice with the metallic charging port (the port is open so i wouldn't recommend submerging this toy) . The charging cable also has a distinctive shape so is easy to tell from your other chargers (useful since i have a fair few now). The toy is easy enough to clean and the silicone is very smooth and seems to have just enough give when pressed onto you. Compared to similar vibes I've tried, this is surprisingly powerful, definitely beating most of my others. 40 minutes run time may seem a bit short but I'll take it if that means that level of power. One of the 1st performance things to mention regarding this clit vibe is that there seem to be 2 obvious ways of using/handling it, both of which have a few advantages and disadvantages. You can use it like a traditional pant vibe (gripping it from below with the whole thing between your legs) or gripping the handle between your fingers and directing the curved tip directly to your clit (while the main body rests on your fingers and mons pubis). Gripping it that way, a partner could quite easily use it on you too. Regardless with both ways the little upflick curls into you nicely, better than other shaped vibes I've tried. This toy is 1 of the few that I've actually managed to finish myself with, without having to use another toy (though it did take a little longer). Some of the patterns actually work better than expected, including a couple that increase and decrease in intensity without any pauses so overall it should work pretty well for build up (there's a couple i think i could possibly finish on too). If you use it like a pants vibe, there's a bit of an issue with the button positioning. Handled so you're controlling the tip directly from above, your thumb is in a good position to click through settings. However, in the pant vibe position the button is directly against your skin so it is incredibly difficult to press without interupting the stimulation. Personally i do still prefer using it this way usually as it provides stimulation to your entire pubic area which i much prefer despite the annoyance with the button. It's vibrations are quite rumbley i think when you press it into yourself though it is one of my louder toys (it's quieter than a metal bullet and more powerful than you'd expect on quietest and weakest setting).It's also worth mentioning that it's a little odd to release the button before it will turn on and the travel lock can be a little finicky to turn off, you have to press it twice in very rapid succession for that method to work (if you really struggle though you can just plug it in). Overall it's a really interesting toy, the shape works better than you'd expect, it's easy to grip and powerful on top of that. What more could ask for from a clitoral stimulation toy?
