Mmmm... a surprisingly nice lube

I'm in the throes of menopause so I was aware of this range but I'd never thought I'd buy it as, to be perfectly honest, I thought it would be just another over-hyped celebrity range of products. Well, thanks to Lovehoney sending me this to test, it turns out I was wrong and it's not just another over-hyped 'sleb product. It arrived in the usual plain Lovehoney packaging which is easily recycled. The product itself is a squeeze bottle with a basic flip-top lid and a rather plain label. Not very 'celebrity' so far. I settled in ready to play and squirted some on my hand to test the texture. Which turns out to be very much like a normal lube. I normally use Lovehoney's Enjoy or Discover and found it to be more like the Enjoy - slippery enough for masturbation or vaginal sex, which is what it's designed for. So far, so good. It has a faint but very pleasant smell that I quite like. Due to previous reactions, I was a bit dubious about this as I'm not a fan of unnecessary fragrances in products. However, this was perfectly fine for me. I don't usually taste lubes so haven't tasted this one. I gave it a thorough testing with my silicone, ABS, glass and steel toys and found it worked well with them all. It hasn't stained any of them and washed off easily. I was also at the tail end of my period so used it to coat my tampons (a tip I was given to by a doctor who had been treating me for recurring thrush - use a little lube on your tampons and they don't dry out in your vagina if your flow slows). A few days after this my partner arrived home so we got to try it during sex. I didn't tell my partner I was testing a new lube but I was shocked when he asked if we were using a new lube - he actually noticed the difference and said he liked it. Now, my partner isn't the type to notice a lot of things so this was newsworthy! He even mentioned the scent so I'm assuming that may have triggered his query. Being menopausal I'm exactly who this range is marketed to but I'm surprised to find I really like this lube and now want to try out the rest of the range. Also, although marketed for menopause, any age could happily use this. Well done Meg M. You've brought a good product to market that does what it says on the tin and doesn't cost an arm and a leg (unlike other less effective celebrity products). I'm impressed. and I will re-purchase - which is the highest recommendation I give any product.

Nice to use, easy to clean

We normally use LH Discover as it is suitable for all our sexual activities, but we received this product to review, so we have been using it where appropriate. The container is quite attractive and looks like a standard cosmetic bottle, so it is discreet enough to leave on view should circumstances require this. The lid clicks securely into place and seals well so it does not leak. The lubricant has a faint but pleasant smell and, as expected, it is a little thinner than our normal choice but still works very well in most situations. We have tried it for masturbation, PIV sex and I have used it to insert anal toys and it has been perfect in all these situations. We did not try it for anal sex as we both felt that it was not viscous enough for this use. In fairness, though, it does not claim to be an anal lubrican,t so this is not a criticism. In use the product is not sticky and takes a long time to dry out, which is good. Finally it washes off really quickly with just water.
